Project Description:
ADE will build a "Professional Training Kitchen Facility". We will provide job training and job placement to low to moderate income adults, with developmental disabilities, in the field of food preparation, baking and restaurant maintenance, consequently fostering self-sufficiency and community inclusion. We have vast experience in culinary arts training being that we have contracted with The Training and Employment Council of So. Fla., in partnership with the Dade County Public School System, in this particular training area. We have developed curriculum and workbooks adapted to the level of comprehension of our population. This facilitates the training and the success of the placement.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The provision of additional services to between 50 to 70 adults with developmental disabilities.
