The City received this tract of land via the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida in 1997 in an effort to stimulate economic development opportunities for South Bay after its major industry pulled approximately 1300 jobs from its communities. The land-use at this property allows for commercial, industrial, greenways (nature park), residential, and eco-tourism developments. Entrance and artery roadway systems are minimally developed for the Industrial and Nature Park parcels. |
