|

||
Through marketing and promotion, an increasing interest in folklife will be addressed which educates in a multi-faceted manner Florida's diverse folk ways and ever-changing population. The Florida Folk Festival is the nation's oldest state sponsored folk festival. In order to increase attendance funds are needed to more adequately market the golden anniversary of the Florida Folk Festival in 2002. The increased marketing dollars should increase attendance by six to eight thousand over the three day period of the Festival. This will be at least a 25% increase over the attendance of the 48th Annunal Florida Folk Festival in May 2000. Attendance was approximately 22,000. |
