Project Description:
The Center, a collaborative effort between the Colleges of Health Professions, Nursing and Medicine (at Jacksonville) will focus on programs to improve rehabilitation treatments to reduce functional impairment, improve quality of life and community reintegration for stroke survivors. This multi-disciplinary center will develop programs and study the outcomes relating to medical, behavioral and community-based interventions across the continuum of care.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To identify the most efficacious strategies to maximize quality of life and community reintegration post stroke. These outcomes will provide policy makers with strong scientific evidence to impact beneficial changes in health policy and fiscal decisions regarding health care expenditures and financing pertinent to stroke.
