Project Description: |

This facility will provide regional offices for agriculture agencies in a three county area. This wouls provide an indoor assembly for area agricultural, forestry, rural development, 4_h, and consumer groups. It willprovide a one stop location for agriculture producers, consumers, landowners and homeowners. Agriculture contributes approximately 16 million dollars per year to the local economy. USDA agencies provide 5 million dollars annually to the agricultural sector and local communities. It is vital that support be maintained for the agricultural sector in this regional area. Establishment of a farmers market in the Crestview area will provide a much needed outlet for local grown agricultural commodities. Many producers are looking at alternative crops and niche crops due to the low prices of traditional row crops. A facility will provide a much needed location for local producers and citizens. |
