Project Description:
The Florida Center for Teachers (FCT) addresses one of Florida's critical needs - retaining excellent experienced teachers. FCT provides outstanding teachers with an incentive to remain in the classroom through a unique program of professional development. The Center offers professional renewal and intellectual stimulation through week-long residential seminars and 3-day technology focused humanities programs.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Retain 500 teachers per year in classrooms who motivate 100,000 students to succeed.
