Project Description:
Provide a networked system of prevention centers located throughout the state designed to provide training , technical assistance, and information dissemination about utilizing science-based approaches to prevention. The Regional Prevention Centers (RPC?s) will employ information-communication technology to keep the field apprised of all new funding opportunities, research and other news. Each RPC will be charged with maximizing regional prevention efforts by performing a coordinating role and to increase the effectiveness and visibility of prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and abuse within the region.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
95% of youth, adults and community-based organization will be satisfied with assistance provided by RPC?s. 100% of RPC?s will provide community councils to attend the statewide prevention conference.
