After two years of operation 125 workers will be placed outside Goodwill throughout the state in competitive employment, making room for new disable persons to be employed in the program. Over 10 years, Goodwill will have served 1050 people with disabilities, creating $41.3 million in new earnings which generates $9.4 million in new taxes. The State of Florida currently spends $5010 per person to place and maintain persons with disabilities. This project will save the State of Florida $5 million in 10 years. |
