Project Description:
SER-Jobs for Progress proposes to build upon it's successful at-risk and out of school prevention program by enabling high risk youth to stay in school, enable out of school youth to re-enter school and enable out of school youth to secure unsubsidized employment. A minimun of 200 program participants will be served. The prevention program provides a training and mentoring component as well as counseling and remedial education. The latter will be in classroom setting and will be teacher led and computer assisted.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Of the 200 program participants, a minimun of 75% will either stay in school, re-enter school, or become employed in an unsubsidized position.
