Project Description:

In the past year, FCFC has mobilized 100 faith-based social service providers, and linked together 300 churches and 750 individuals, in order to help address the pressing social problems in Dade County. Along with the national spirit of cooperation between the government and faith-based groups, which began with the "Charitable Choice" provisions of the federal Welfare Reform laws, FCFC plans to continue our mobilization efforts with faith-based groups. Depending upon the priorities of the Legislature and Governor, FCFC proposes to accomplish the following goals, which will both help to stabilize South Florida

families and prevent further social ills.  (These projects will address foster care, drug abuse and violence prevention, after school programs, education, family stabilization, child care, increased employability for former welfare recipients and the hard to employ, teen pregnancy, and domestic violence issues.)
