Purchase equipment to create 250 permanent new jobs for disabled persons manufacturing military clothing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

After two years of operation, 125 workers will be placed outside Goodwill Industries throughout the state in competitive employment, making room for new disabled persons to be employed in the program.  Over 10 years, Goodwill will have served 1050 different people with disabilitis, creating $41.3 in new earnings which generates $9.4 million in new taxes.  The State of Florida currently spends $5,010 per person to place and maintain persons with disabilities.  This project will save the State of Florida $5 million in 10 years.
