Project Description:
Cost-effective sharing of library materials through the Library Cooperatives provides the resources of Florida's libraries to everyone in FL. Florida's libraries participate in interlibrary loan programs facilitated by the Library Cooperatives. The Library Cooperatives coordinate the statewide courier service which moves more than 32,000 books and tapes every month. Ongoing staff training and education are the key to success in business and government. Last year, more than 3,000 people attended more than 500 Library Cooperative sponsored workshops on topics.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1,075 training programs for 8,500 library staff; statewide courier service moving 384,000 books and library materials for library users
