Project Description:
Monroe County is near completion of a Stormwater Management Master Plan which will seek to minimize stormwater polluntant loading to nearshore waters for improved water quality. This proposal would provide support for the implementaiton of the recommendations of that Plan. The implementation could include construction of various stormwater management systems, development of a new stormwater ordinance, retrofitting of existing systems, etc.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Will improve water quality associated with stormwater and outdated septic systems that threaten to permanently damage nearshore and offshore marine communities.
