Project Description:
Construction of a 30,000 square foot facility which will serve approximately 150 adult day care participants daily , 200 nutrition participants daily, and will offer other comprehensive community based services to additional elderly clients. There is currently no adult day care in this community .
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
There Is not currently a facility to serve the ever Increasing number of senior citizens living in Town N' Country. To accommodate the needs of clients whose Increasing frailty requires more health oriented care (such as on site personal care to serve Incontinent clients) and to expand services to meet the Increased demand for day care, day health care, and congregate and home-dellvered meals, a new facIlity Is required. In addition, partnershIps with the Universities of South Florida and Tampa provide for Intern placement for students In their nursing and/or geriatric courses of study. Services wIll be provided to senior citizens 60+ , who are low Income, minority, socially/economically needy, as wen as those who are physically or mentally disabled in the Town N' Country area of Hillsborough County .
