Project Description:
Phase 1 construction contracts awarded which consists of the installation of the treatment facility and connection of 52 residential and commercial customers. Phase II consists of the installation of 750 grinder pump stations with associated transmission mains and lift stations. This request is for Phase 1
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The project will resolve a documented recurring water quality violation in the project area. It will also resolve a substantiated public health threat. It will reduce the dischares of pollutants to an impaired waterbody on the DEP 303(d) list, and will reduce the documented discharge of contaminants to ground water supplies. The area is currently being monitored by DEP and the Dept. of Health because of existing violations, once Phase 1 and Phase II are in place the pollutants and health hazards will be measured by the departments.
