Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Funding for this project is for construction only.  The certificate of occupancy issued by the City of Boynton Beach Building Department is measure of effectiveness for this construction project.  However, the completion of phase two of the Senior Center would address the need for a focal point in southern Palm Beach County for delivery of senior services.  By participating in recreational, nutritional, wellness and related social service programs, seniors from surrounding areas as well as Boynton Beach benefit in the following ways: become more computer literate, enjoy a variety of free services offered close to home, homebound seniors benefit  from transportation provided to all of the activities, seniors receive counseling and have the opportunity to join peer support groups and can participate in classes at a much lower cost than competitors offer in our area.  The Recreation Department keeps attendance records to document participation and tracks interests for future programs.
