The Intermodal Transit System will be located at Orlando International Airport, providing a seamless connection between the existing North Terminal Complex and the new South Terminal Complex.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Provides highly reliable, seamless intermodal linkage between North Terminal Complex and South Terminal Complex, allowing them to function as a single airport, ensuring optimum operation and enhanced mobility.  Provides capacity and flexibility to efficiently accommodate varying levels of demand.  Eliminates need for additional vehicular traffic on OIA's roadway system.  therefore improving roadway circulation, safety and capacity.  Supports development of property for Aviation, cargo, retail, and commercial purposes.  Improves air quality through reducation of combustion engine operations.  Positions airport to accommodate long-range growth, benefiting the national airport system.  Provides facilities for delivering the highest level of customer service.  Provides airport interface with future light rail, commuter rail, and high speed rail opportunities for transportation to off-site destinations.  Increases ability to accommodate new markets and airlines.
