Project Description:
The Center for Teaching & Learning will expand teacher preperation and certification, be a model for innovative teaching techniques, transform the traditional teacher-training classroom into an electronic learning community, design special fast-track programs, emphasize hands-on applied classroom experience, provide ongoing professional development, and serve as a networking resource and support center for teachers while in the field.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Over the next five years, it is anticipated that more than 1,600 undergraduate teachers-in-training and 4,000 existing teachers will take advantage of the program offered by the Center for Teaching & Learning.
