Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purchase and install storm/hurricane shutters to protect City Facilities.  Currently, the City operates on an emergency basis during hurricane season.  The task of supplying plywood and manpower during this period imposes unnecessary labor and exposure when this issue is better addressed through proper planning, which this includes the Finance Building, Civic Center, Youth Center, Fire/Rescue Station #100, Fire/Rescue Station #84, Lake Shore Park Community Center, and Silver Lakes Park Community Center.  In addition to protecting City personnel, equiptment and capabilities, the residents of the City and surrounding jurisdictions will benefit from the greater likelihood that the City's response and recovery capabilities will survive destructive weather impacts.
