This project will allow for the purchase of pumps and generators as a back up to 72 pump stations located throughout the City during emergencies and power outages. 

 

This project is identified on the Broward County Local Mitigation Strategy's priority mitigation initiative list.  Therefore, this project directly addresses Priority B of the Notice of Fund Availability, because it implements the Local Hazard Mitigation Strategy.  This project also furthers City, County, Regional and State Comprehensive Plan Objectives and Policies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Maintain water and sanitary sewer operations during emergencies.In addition to protecting City water supply and wastewater capabilities, the residents of the City and surrounding jurisdictions will benefit from the greater likelihood that the City's response and recovery capabilities will survive destructive weather impacts. The project will also have a lasting benefit by maintaining water and sewer services for the life of the equipment.
