Project Description:
Ongoing after-school and summer youth enrichment and family-building program designed to instill pride and self-confidence, and promote academic achievement and personal success in a low-income community in which a significant percentage of children live in conditions of severe economic and social deprivation, an indentified risk factor for childhood delinquency.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1). Improved school attendance as demonstrated by school attendance records and a decrease in/prevention of truancy referrals 2). Improved academic performance as demonstrated by report cards. 3). Improved behavior as demonstrated by a decrease in/prevention of: a. School discipline referrals. b. School truancy referrals. c. Delinquency referrals.
