Project Description: |

CAPP is primarily a home visiting program that covers 16 counties in rural North Central Florida serving approximately 650 familes/1500 children annually. We prevent child abuse/neglect by improving parenting practices (parent education & support) and case management services aimed at improving overall family functioning for high risk families during weekly home visits. Group based services are provided at specific locations-the prison program serves pregnant inmates, as well as those going home to children statewide. Individual assessment and service plans are developed for each family. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
80% of our families have no indicated abuse/neglect 3 to 6 months after service. 80% of our families show improvement in parenting as shown by pre & post testing. 90% of our families report satisfaction with the program as shown by client survey. We use the pre/post test: Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory 2 (AAPI-2) by Stephen Bavolek. |
