Project Description: |

Baker Community Hospital requesting support to reduce the debt service on an $11,000,000 new hospital and nursing home. The new hospital replaced an inadequate facility that was not fully serving the people of Baker County. Baker Community Hospital is a statutory rural hospital, providing care to rural and low-income citizens in and around Baker County. The hospital absorbs the costs for medically indigent at four times the national average. The supported request would allow the hospital to continue to provide rural community with an emergency room, as well as other health care services required of a hospital. |
