This project creates a gateway to the State Capital complex by revitalizing Gaines Street from Lake Bradford (State Road 371) to Apalachee Parkway (State Road 20). A boulevard scale development, this project would provide the preliminary infrastructure to create a suustainable, mixed land use district of residential, retail and commercial, revitalizing the urban texture of the Capital Center Planning Area and fostering opportunities for multiple modes of transportation. This project will also provide system preservation by providing additional transportation opportunities- bicycle, pedestrian, transit and auto on an existing corridor which links a larger system. |
