Project Description:
Because of Water Supply issues, the city plans to construct an 175-acre lake to store excess recliamed water, along with the City of New Smyrna Beach, for times of drought, to recharge the aquifer, create wetlands, and in the case of New Smyrna Beach, stop the discharge of reclaimed water into the Indian River and the Indian River Lagoon.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Saving the Indian River & Lagoon and the reuse of usable water thus water conservation and augmentation.
