Project Description:
Initial planning and architectural fees for construction of a new facility for Lee County Health Dept. The new facility will replace 5 offices. Consolidation will improve the efficiency of CHD operations and provide "one-stop" customer service. Lee CHD will continue to serve all segments of Lee County through outreach efforts and store front clinics as need dictates. Service to be provided at the new facility: family planning clinics, STD clinics, TB clinics, Healthy Start coordination, WIC, immunizations, chronic disease prevention, injury prevention, HIV/AIDS education and surveillance, vital statistics, environmental health, enviromental engineering, legal services, DOH program office activities, general adminstration. The facility will also serve as a special care shelter for natural disasters and provide meeting room space for health dept. and community functions.
