Project Description:
Children who are suicidal or a danger to others will be treated through Manatee Glens Children's Baker Act Services, Crisis unit beds will be expanded from 1.5 bed to 4 beds with psychiatric and intensive case management services. In order to eliminate waiting lists to see a doctor from 6 weeks to 1 week in Manatee County, psychiatric services will be expanded by 3 hours a week. Two case managers would be available to offer intensive in-home services to families in crisis to prevent readmission to the crisis unit.
