This project has a multitude of economic & transportation benefits. The office & industrial acreage to be given access would yield between approximately 4.8 million square feet of building. At current market absorption rates of 200,000 sq.ft./year, this would translate to about a 24 year supply. However, within the next five years, it would be reasonable to project a minimum of 1700 new employees. When the value of projected development and housing is included, the improved tax base would yield a net gain of approximately $4.1 million over the same time period. |
