To maximize collaboration and coordination of services for older Haitian resident in the Northeast area of Miami-Dade County and develop a comprehensive program of outreach, education and training, and advocacy concerning the Haitian aged, their needs, services and services gap. |

This will allow programs to be better able to address the needs of our elderly Haitian constitutency. Programs are traditionally lacking the cultural sensitivity and understanding that would make them useful to Haitian elders. Major areas identified that need special attention include: health care, transportation, immigration, naturalization and acculturation and economic self-sufficiency. |
