Project Description:
Camp Everglades will be modeled after Florida's Everglades, an environmentally sensitive area continually threatened with development. The playground will feature an airboat to climb on, a fishing camp to visit, models of wildlife typically found in the Everglades, and the natural flora of the swamp. According to 1990 U.S. Census Data, there are 3,480 children between the ages of 0-13 years old who live in the immediate areas of Sunshine City, Largo Mar, and Plantation Acres.

A playground that will educate Florida's youth about the importance of restoring the Everglades.
