Project Description:
National Parkinson outreach centers where people with Parkinson?s disease and their caregivers can go for diagnostic services, specialized treatment and Respite care.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Our centers have seen and treated 1300 patients and have had an impact on approximately 26,000 people (caregivers, family friends of people with Parkinson?s). Approximately 10% of people with Parkinson?s end up in state funded nursing homes, but within our program, we have a rate of approximately 2%, saving the state hundreds of thousands of dollars .
