Project Description:
As part of the restoration of the Lake Apopka North Shore Restoration Area, residual pesticide levels in the soils and sediments exceeding a safe level may require remediation prior to restoration flooding. Safe levels, specific areas, remediation approaches and costs are unknown at this time but will be determined in cooperation with the Technical Advisory Group and the Expert Review Group. Project Partners: U.S. Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
