Project Description:

PROJECT COMPRISES TWO INFRASTRUCTURAL CABLING COMPONENTS AND A CORE TELECOMMUNICATIONS (i.e. telephony and data communications) DEPLOYMENT OF BUILDING PREMISE TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT: (1) CAMPUS BACKBONE CONDUIT AND FIBER OPTIC CABLING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES (2)Building Wiring and Building demarcation equipment room establishment activities (3) Infrastructurasl Telecommunications Equipment throughout the campus.

Currently EWC has fiber optic connections between four buildings.  These buildings are clustered on one side of the campus because of the Kings Road right-of-wa barrier; therefore one half of the campus remains inaccessible for network based communications that provide automated functionalities for Business & Finance, Admissions and the Registrar . . .    The nineteen building comprising the existing campus has antequated internal telecommunications wiring & cable that do not meet the minimum electrical and signalling specifications.  These buildings must be totally rewired/cabled with wiring that has signalling bandwidth that has individual and aggregate specifications that meet requirements for toda's high performance telecommunications, networking, internet and computing environments.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

The campus infrastructure will provided state of the art techonology and telecommunications conformity with all applicable industry standards. These upgrades will facility stronger distance learning,  educational networking, and internet education based opportunities for students and faculty.  Bridge the technology gap with Historically Black Colleges.
