|
A 12,000 GSF Pharmarceutical Research Center conducting research on Parkinson's Disease, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS and Cardiovascular diseases; all of which have a disappropriate impact upon the citizens of Florida. The National Institute of Health (NIH) funded Florida A&M University with a challenge grant of $1.5 million to develop the research center. The initial award was made during the fiscal year of 1998. As of 9/30/2001 these dollars will revert back to the federal treasury if not matched. |
