Project Description:
The Family Court Mobile Self Help Project is designed to replicate the resources at the Miami-Dade County Courthouse and bring much needed pro se self help services into ethnically and culturally diverse and primarily low income communities across Miami-Dade county. The Project will also function as an ADA auxiliary aid or service, enabling judges to travel to homes or other locations where the disabled and elderly reside who have become disenfranchised from the courts due to their physical and economic condition.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The Mobile Self Help Project will use exit questionnaires to measure customer satisfaction. Judicial satisfaction survey will be developed to measure the quality of self-representation Statistics will be developed to track: %Increase in the number of Self Help Packets to the public %Increase in the number of Self Help staff consultations, procedural assistance and document preparation %Increase in the number of referrals to community organizations %Increase in the number of referred to counsel
