Project Description:
In our community, many children fall within funding gaps and are unable to receive much needed mental health services. As a community mental health center, The Chrysalis Center receives referrals regularly for children and adolescents with significant mental health needs such as assessment, medication, individual, group and family therapy. While we have provided many of these services without receiving reimbursement, the increasing numbers of referrals from the community supercedes our ability to provide services to all of these unfunded children and their families. The Chrysalis Center is seeking financial support in order to provide a full range of quality mental health services for children who do not have insurance or other means of funding to pay for those services. With your support, children will receive individualized treatment that may include any or a number of the following services: ? Psychiatric Services ? Evaluation and Testing Services ? Treatment Planning ? Individual Therapy ? Family Therapy ? Group Therapy
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
-Decrease the number of children without adequate funding in the community. -Increase availability of mental health services to children without adequate funding. -Increase the level of care for those in need of intensive or long term services. -Reduction of children being removed from their homes and placed into the foster care system.
