Project Description:
Cost effective sharing of library materials through the Library Cooperatives provides the resources of Florida's libraries to everyone in Florida. Florida's libraries participate in inter-library loan programs facillitated by the Library Cooperatives. The Library Cooperatives coordinate the statewide courier service which moves more than 22000 books and tapes monthly. Ongoing staff training and education are the key to success in business and government... last year more than 3000 people attended more than 500 Library Cooperativ sponsored workshops.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1075 training programs for 8500 library staff; statewide courier service moving more than 384000 books and library materials for library users statewide.
