|
This project consists of converting existing drainage systems that lack treatment of stormwater discharge into "hybrid" drainage systems that will combine on-site retention with an emergency overflow to County surface waters. Additional benefits include reduced flooding and increased recharge to ground waters in the areas retrofitted, thereby reducing property damage to residents and otherwise minimizing flooding impacts to those along with supplying the ground water for future use for drinking water. |

Water quality discharges from this basin should be measurably imprived upon completion of this project. The retrofitting will set a limit to the pollutant loading that can be conveyed into the water bodies as well as improve stormwater managment within the basin. |
