To provide funding for a pilot screening of fatty acid disorders such as MCAD for infants born in Florida.  These disorders, if detected early, could prevent premature death.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

The incidence of MCAD is 1:15,000.  The number of infants detected will be approximately 5-10.
