Project Description:

This project is within the proposed redevelopment area of the City of Riviera Beach and will widen Avenue E to a 4 lane divided highway and will then be used for the transfer of US 1 (SR 5) onto Avenue E from 10th Street to Silver Beach Raod.  This project also includes obtaining a conceptual stormwater permit for future relocated US1.  The permit will include the portion of the City that drains in the Lake Worth Lagoon from 10th Street to Silver Beach Road to a distance of approximatley 8500 feet.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Increased capacity and improved safety compared to existing US 1 (SR5) due to less side friction and addition of a median.  Better access to the Port of Palm Beach.
