Project Description:
CAPP is primarily a home visiting program that covers 16 counties in rural North Central Florida serving approximately 650 families/1500 children annually. CAPP prevents child abuse/neglect by improving parenting practices through education and support aimed at improving overall family functioning for high-risk families during weekly home visits. Group based services are provided at specific locations - the prison program serves pregnant inmates, as well as those going home to children statewide. Individual assessment and service plans are developed for each family.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
80% of families served have no indicated abuse/neglect 3 & 6 months after services. 80% of families show improvement in parenting as shown by pre & post testing. 90% of families report satisfaction with the program as shown by client survey
