Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAMU Institute on Urban Policy and Commerce, in keeping with the mission objective adopted by the Board of Regents, is establishing local technical assistance centers in nine urban cities (Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Pensacola) to 1) improve urban high unemployment rate and low income levels, including a focus on youth employment, women owner enterprises, and urban manufacturing; an d2) reduce poverty and high school drop outs, and aid female head of households.  As part of a partnership with FAMU Institutge on Urvan Policy and Commerce FMTC will provide business development and training services for the urban technical assistance centers in 9 cities statewide.
