Project Description:

This request proposes the development of an effective and cost efficient video interactive system to provide services to community programs serving vulnerable populations, such as individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues.  The system, enables real time, two way video and audio linkages to group homes, semi-independent apartments, foster homes, mental health clinics and other community service settings.  Through these linkages, professionals and administrators can provide teaching, consultation and assistance in emergency situations to staff and parents in remote sites. In addition to caregiver supports, this technology enables quality assurance through program monitoring and caregiver supervision.  Further, the system affords the opportunity for instantaneous sharing of data and information to authorized professionals and families who are involved in an individual's progress and well being.
