Project Description:
FCFC proposes to help stabilize families and prevent social ills. The project will address foster care, drug abuse & violence prevention, after school programs, education, family stabilization, child care, increased employability for former welfare recipients and the hard to employ, teen pregnancy and domestic violence issues.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Provide MAPP training in local houses of worship, develop 10 new faith-based drug-abuse & violence prevention programs, organize 10 church-based after-school care programs, distribute parent training materials, help establish 10 "Gold Seal" accredited child care centers in churches, begin 5 welfare-to-work mentoring programs, implement the jobs partnership model of church-based employmentm entoring, create 3 gang-outreach & prevention programs, develop 5 teen pregnancy prevention programs & 3 teen mom outreach efforts, implement domestic abuse prevention programs in 15 churches.
