Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Engineering, drilling and completion of deep undergroudn injection well, to depth of about 3000+ feet, for the purpose of storing by-products of potable water production (brine) from reverse osmosis plant.  Will also be used by Lee County to dispose of secondarily treated wastewater in wet weather conditions.  Expected capacity 3 million gpd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Reduction of pollution on Pine Island, and in Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, San Carlos Bay and Charlotte Harbor, all of which are designated by the Legislature as Outstanding Florida Waters.
