Project Description:
OKALOOSA BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAS LEASED AN OUTDATED COUNTY HOSPITAL BUILDING TO ELDER SERVICES FOR $1.00/YEAR. THIS FACILITY IS TO BE USED AS AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY FOR LOW AND MODEST INCOME, AT-RISK ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED. REPLACE AC/HEATING, FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM, WINDOWS, CEILING & TILES REPLACED, TWO LARGE EMERGENCY GENERATORS, ELECTRICAL, JAS, PLUMBING AND CARPETING NEEDS INSTALLING OR REPLACING.

PROVIDING CARE TO 65 AT-RISK PERSONS IN THE COMMUINITY AT A SAVING OF $16,000 TO $23,000 per year/per resident. PREVENTING PREMATURE NURSING HOME PLACEMENT.
