Project Description:
5,600 Multi-purpose facility for the city's recreation and education program
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1. To provide an assembly space for approximately 250 people with increased accesibility by senior and handicapped citizens, thereby reducing present costs of transportation to other facilties within the county. 2. Replacement of an older and much smaller recreation center which, with very limited capability, precludes its use for many indoor activities. 3. A location for conducting City sponsored youth programs, including drug awareness and early parenthood programs, both after school and summer sessions. 4. A facility available to the general public and civic groups, providing a climate controlled environment suitable for a variety of activities, including a musical and theatrical productions.
