Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAMU Institute on Urban Policy and Commerce, in keeping with the mission objectives adopted by the Board of Regents, is establishing local technical assistance centers in nine urban cities (Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Pensacola) to (1) improve urban high unemployment rate and low income levels, including a focus on youth employment, women owner enterprises, and urban manufacturing; and (2) reduce poverty and high school dropouts, and aid female heads of households.  As part of a partnership with FAMU Institute on Urban Policy and Commerce, FMTC will provide business development and training services for the urban technical assistance centers in 9 cities statewide.
