OPS Legislative Welcome Center Assistant

General Summary

The Office of the Clerk is accepting applications for an OPS Legislative Welcome Center Assistant to help with the Legislative Welcome Center on the fourth floor of the Capitol. This is full-time temporary employment during the legislative session (December 13, 2021 through March 11, 2022).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Applicants for the role of Legislative Welcome Center Assistant are responsible for helping members of the public navigate the legislative process. This includes welcoming visitors at the Legislative Welcome Center, answering any questions they may have, providing helpful resources as needed, and directing visitors to various committee meeting rooms and other locations. 

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a high school diploma. Previous experience in customer service is a plus as this person will be interacting with members of the public. Basic computer and office skills (answering phones, computer, copy machine, fax etc.) are required.

Rate of Pay

$13/hour
