Examples of Work Performed
-
Greets, checks in and directs visitors.

Monitor access control and ensure that only authorized personnel enter the building.

Receive packages (UPS & FedEx) for building tenants and notify them upon receipt.

Maintain visitor logs.

Monitor cameras.
-
Report suspicious activities (Capitol Police) or safety hazards (Building Manager).
-
Assist with administrative tasks.
-
Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to regularly lift 25+ lbs.

Ability to recognize dangerous or potentially dangerous situations.

Ability to respond calmly in an emergency situation and to determine proper course of action.

Ability to make accurate observations.

Ability to follow office procedures and practices.

Ability to deal effectively with individuals.

Ability to work without close supervision and to make independent decisions.

Skill in the use of a personal computer
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of work experience including but not limited to security occupations, clerical, or inventory control. Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
Salary
Commensurate with experience (minimum salary is $31,200)
